At the beginning of the year, the door-to-door collection of kitchen green  and food waste will start in Debrecen.

‘Door-to-door collection of kitchen green and food waste will start in Szolnok, the system will be operated by MOHU MOL Waste management Ltd. (MOHU MOL Hulladékgazdálkodási Zrt.) and National Waste Management Service Zounok Ltd. (NHSZ Zounok Kft.), ’ the head of product and material flow of MOHU at a press conference in Szolnok on Friday announced. Judit Borsfay-Horváth said that the program starts in certain parts of condominiums.

‘Based on international experience, the quantity and quality of collected food waste can be increased most with the door-to-door system. In this way, the greenhouse gas emissions of landfills can be significantly reduced, the quality of the soil can be improved, and the operational efficiency of the general waste management system can be increased, ’ she added.

‘MOHU undertook to recycle 65 percent of the total amount of domestic waste by 2040, and to reduce the amount of waste destined for landfill, which is currently extremely high in the country, to below 10 percent, ‘ she explained. She called the company’s goal the creation of an efficiently functioning, unified waste management system, which also includes selective waste collection. ‘The company performing concessionary waste management tasks will gradually and continuously introduce door-to-door collection of organic kitchen waste from 2024. Kitchen green and food waste is reused in biogas plants, thus contributing to the development of a circular economy, since electricity and heat are produced from it as a renewable energy source,’ she said.

‘Moreover, due to its high nutrient content, the residue formed in the biogas plant forms excellent compost and humus-like material for agriculture. It will be especially important during the recovery to be able to collect material of the highest purity, ‘she noted.

László Lits, the Managing Director of National Waste Management Service Zounok Ltd. in Szolnok said that they wanted to reach 20,000 people, meaning more than 5,400 families, with the program in the first round. Typically, the program would affect people living in the Széchenyi district and ten-story buildings on Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Street.

‘Participants in the program receive a 5-litre kitchen collection container for each apartment, which is not only easy to handle, but also odourless and leak-free. In addition, a 120-litre brown bin is also distributed to apartment buildings, which must be pulled out in front of the house in the usual way, on the specified days.Initially the brown bin would be emptied once a week, twice a week in the summer, and washed once a month,’ he said.

‘On the 27th of January and the 3rd of February, the distribution of 5-litre kitchen collection containers to the population will begin in three places in the Széchenyi district, ‘ he emphasised.

Ferenc Szalay, Mayor of Szolnok (Fidesz-KDNP) spoke about how waste management without selective collection was a thing of the past. He drew attention to the fact that the Képó landfill would be full without selective waste collection, so it is important to reduce the amount of incoming waste. The city manager also called the cooperation of the residents important. He recalled that previously around four thousand home composting devices had been taken out in the city and region, which had made serious results.

‘At the beginning of the year, the program will be gradually launched in fourteen settlements. In several places, the service can start as early as February, in other settlements in March,’ Judit Borsfay-Horváth answered the question of the Hungarian Telegraph Office (MTI).

According to the information on the MOHU website, the affected settlements are: condominium areas of Budapest, Miskolc, Debrecen, Székesfehérvár, Szolnok, Kecskemét, Cegléd, Zalaegerszeg, Békéscsaba, Nagykanizsa, Tatabánya, Kaposvár, Gyula, and Békés.

‘According to the information distributed at the event, a variety of organic waste can be placed in the kitchen green and food waste bin, for example, fruit and vegetable remains, coffee ground, tea grass (but not the filter), spices, eggshells, cooked leftover food, baked goods or even processed food and meat products. However, it is important not to throw bones, food packaging, dust bags, dust filters, tissues, diapers into it. In addition to being non-compostable, these and similar materials can damage the recycling machines. It will also be forbidden to put tree branches, leaves, twigs and municipal waste in the brown bins, ‘ MOHU wrote.

‘The first production line reached the level of technical readiness last month at Semcorp plant in Debrecen, ’the company announced on its Facebook page.

Semcorp originally announced that they planned to spend 180 million euros (HUF 68 billion) on their investment in Debrecen, but James Shih, Director of Global Projects at Semcorp, already indicated that their plans were constantly evolving, so it was  likely that this would be revised upwards.

According to their current statement, the value of the investment has become significantly larger, almost double, because they have invested 340 million euros (130 billion forints) in Debrecen.

At the beginning of November, EDC (Debrecen City and Economic Development Center) announced on its Facebook page that Semcorp already had more than 150 employees in Debrecen.

They added that the 97,000-square-metre, high-tech factory built in the Southern Economic Zone corresponds to the size of nearly 14 football fields.

The Debrecen plant is Semcorp’s first unit outside of China, the company  will create 440 new jobs in Debrecen.

The Shanghai-based company occupies a leading position on the world market in the production of separator foils for electric car batteries, such products will also be produced at the Debrecen plant, with four production lines producing 400 million pieces per year.

The company has now also announced that their Hungarian subsidiary will supply the French battery manufacturer Automotive Cells Company (ACC) with separator foil  products worth a total of 655 million euros from 2024 to 2030.

Semcorp will receive HUF 13 billion in state support for its investment in Debrecen. The company’s development was awarded the title ‘The largest greenfield investment of the year’  at the gala event of the National Investment Agency’s Investor of the Year 2020. In October, DKV established a stop at the Semcorp plant in Debrecen.

In the Southern Economic Zone, the Semcorp plant was built between the Krones and Vitesco Technologies factories. The Deufol plant, the logistics centre of BHS Trans Ltd. and the Halms Hungary Ltd. plant are already operating in the industrial park.

The Debrecen plant of the South Korean EcoPro BM, the larger bus factory of ITK Holding, the logistics centre of Inpark, and the battery plant of the Chinese CATL are being built there.

Another spectacular video has arrived about the development of the infrastructure of the economic zone, which also houses the BMW factory in Debrecen.

The EDC Debrecen City and Economic Development Center and the Debrecen Infrastructure Development Ltd. regularly summarise the infrastructure of the North-West Economic Zone, which is home to the BMW factory in Debrecen and its future suppliers, in a video. In their newly published video, they report on the work carried out in the third and fourth quarter of 2023.

Link to video:https://youtu.be/OML634MiRS8

The most important development was the four-lane Main Road 33 between the industrial zone and the border of Debrecen. As stated in the video, Main Road 33 was brought over the railway on a new 2-by-2 lane bridge. As part of the development of Main Road 33, the pavements of Napraforgó, Zöldmező and Orgona Street in Kismacs were renovated in the affected areas. Several kilometres of bicycle paths were built next to the road, and a noise protection wall was built next to Kismacs. The entire development was handed over in November, while the four-lane construction of Main Road 33 continues between the industrial zone and the road leading to Balmazújváros, and a roundabout is also being built at the end point, at Látóképi Tavern. In the last quarter, the earthwork, curb construction and asphalting of the roundabout were also completed.

The technical handover of this section is expected at the end of the first quarter of 2024, thus completing the planned expansion of Main Road 33.

In the second half of 2023, the construction of Bajor Road also progressed according to the schedule, a bridge will also be built there, and there will be a bicycle path next to it, which will ensure a safe bicycle connection between the Józsa district and the industrial park. Bajor Road surrounding the North-West Economic Zone, branches off from BMW boulevard to the north.

In the meantime, the BMW factory is also being built at a rapid pace, and construction work did not stop even in the winter. Larger buildings are already ready for the installation of equipment. ‘More than 3,000 people are already working on the construction of the factory, a new service centre will be delivered after the training centre, and within a year the first car will roll off the production line in Debrecen,’ Johannes Trauth, Vice President of BMW Group Factory Debrecen told Index.

‘50-100 new employees are added to the workforce in Debrecen every month,’he  indicated.

In Debrecen, the BMW Group is building a full-fledged car factory with a press plant, a bodywork building department, a painting workshop and an assembly hall, as well as a unique battery assembly plant that enables the in-house assembly of the battery cells required for electric drive. The plant, which covers an area of more than 400 hectares in the North-Western region of Debrecen, is the first unit of the company group that was developed entirely along the iFACTORY concept from the first phase of planning, in the spirit of efficient, environmentally friendly and digitised production.

According to the plans, BMW Group Gyár Debrecen will start production in 2025, with more than 1,500 employees, and at the same time, the first model of the Neue Klasse with a purely electric drive will roll off the production line in Debrecen.

As the grace period ended, since January it is mandatory to make an appointment at the Residential Waste Yard for those who want to drive in with a car and a trailer connected to it. The measure ensures continuous, quick access to the site. Appointments can be requested two weeks in advance, online, in person or by phone. Any citizen with a Hungarian address card can bring waste to the Waste Yard.

20 tons of waste are taken to the Residential Waste Yard every day. Among other things, the appointment booking system was introduced to reduce waiting times and avoid congestion. Individual weighing takes about 15 minutes, so it is possible to admit four people per hour.

Appointments can also be booked on the website of AKSD. To do this, first of all, customers  have to select whether they are coming with a car or a car and a trailer attached to it, the next step is to select the type of waste, then enter personal data, and complete the registration by reserving the most favourable time. The booking process only takes a few minutes.

This is only mandatory for those arriving by car and trailer, the companies must take the waste to the Regional Waste Management Plant. Appointments can be booked in person at the customer service office or by phone (4024 Debrecen, Vígkedvű Mihály Street 7. Phone number: +36 (80) 200-966).
‘If there is no appointment, then the colleagues can refuse the drive-in, since booking an appointment not only serves the purpose of not having congestion in István Road, but also that we can perform the administration properly in the system of the centre, MOHU. Therefore, this was a necessary measure, but it does not make it more difficult to use the Waste Yard,’ Csilla Domokos, spokesperson of AKSD Ltd. pointed out.

According to the announcement sent to MTI (Hungarian Telegraph Office), from the 1st of  March passengers can fly to the Israeli capital three times a week from Budapest.

Wizz Air announced that starting from spring, in addition to Budapest, it will also launch flights to Tel Aviv from Bucharest, Krakow, London-Luton, Rome-Fiumicino and Sofia Airports.

The airline announced on the 7th of October last year that it had suspended its flights between Budapest and Debrecen and Tel-Aviv due to the Israeli airstrikes, in consultation with local and international authorities.

According to their current plans, they would also restart in Debrecen next month, and from the 2nd of April, Wizz Air flights would operate twice a week between Debrecen and Tel-Aviv, but of course this could change again.

Zsuzsa Trubek, Wizz Air’s Communications Manager told Dehir.hu that they were constantly monitoring the situation, they had not disclaimed the Debrecen-Tel-Aviv flight, as it had been very successful, and they would like to restart it, but of course the safety of  passengers and the staff is the most important thing.

According to Péter Szijjártó, thanks to BMW’s construction in Debrecen, Hungary has become a member of an elite club. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade mentioned in connection with the Audi factory in Győr that all three German premium car brands have factories outside of our country only in Germany and China.

‘A ten-year production record was broken at the Audi factory in Győr last year, the 177,000 cars represents an outstanding achievement,’ MTI (Hungarian Telegraph Office) reported following a post published on the official social media page of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó.

‘Hungary’s name has now definitively merged with the modern German automobile industry, which provides the backbone of the entire European economy,’ he added. According to Péter Szijjártó’s post, in addition to Audi’s fantastic performance, it is worth looking at the continuous expansion of the Mercedes factory in Kecskemét and the construction of BMW in Debrecen.

‘Although some Western European politicians are constantly promoting the ideology of separating the Chinese and European economies, fortunately life is completely different. After the large Eastern: Chinese and Korean battery factories serving German companies, the world is bringing its first European car factory to Hungary, its largest electric car manufacturer, the Chinese BYD, which is now even ahead of Tesla,’ Péter Szijjártó noted.

“How much better it would be if Western European liberal politicians would also stand with two feet on the ground and see that civilised  cooperation of the East and the West is the best guarantee for peace and peaceful development,’ Péter Szijjártó concluded his post.

During the investment in Debrecen mentioned by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the BMW Group will build a full-fledged car factory, with a press plant, a bodywork building department, a painting workshop and an assembly hall, as well as a unique battery assembly plant that enables the in-house assembly of the battery cells required for electric propulsion.

The plant, which covers an area of more than 400 hectares in the northwestern region of Debrecen, is the first unit of the company group that was developed entirely along the iFACTORY concept from the first phase of planning, in the spirit of efficient, environmentally friendly and digitised production.

BMW’s Supplier plans to start series production in the summer of 2025. According to László Papp, the results of economic development in Debrecen can already be seen “from the moon.”

In mid-December, it was announced that the German company ZF Chassis Modules is building a plant in Debrecen. Their Hungarian subsidiary, ZF Chassis Modules Hungary Ltd., will manufacture rear axles and shock absorbers for the BMW plant in Debrecen. ZF is also building a plant in Kecskemét, the two investments are worth HUF 24 billion, creating 313 new jobs with state support of  2.4 billion. The construction of the ZF plant in Debrecen has already begun in the Northwestern Economic Zone, where the BMW factory is located. The project was also enrolled in the Office of the Year competition, where visual plans of the planned development were also published.

A press conference was held on Wednesday about the German company’s investment in Debrecen.

“Our company is a global technology company that supplies various systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and industrial technologies. ZF, which employs around 165,000 employees worldwide, has 18 production plants in 11 countries, and was previously present in Eger, Hungary,”  Ludwig Armbruster, Regional Vice President of ZF said. He added that they are happy to be able to expand their presence in Hungary and to build a plant in Debrecen, where they received a lot of help to prepare and launch their investment.

“It is important to be close to their customers, and this is realised in Debrecen, since they are building their plant in the economic zone where the BMW factory is also being built,” Senior Project Manager Karsten Bongart emphasised.

Factory Manager Csaba Varjassy said that they had started construction in October, and they wanted to install the machines in May this year, and they would make the first prototype in September. Series production would start in August 2025.  He also announced that at least two hundred new jobs would be created in Debrecen, they would primarily be looking for assembly operators, logistics operators, forklift drivers and maintenance workers for the production area, and they would also have a number of office workers.

Mayor of Debrecen László Papp quoted PM Orbán as saying that the creation of 18,000 new jobs has been announced in Debrecen in recent years, which “can be seen from the moon”. He emphasised that the goal is for the people of Debrecen to feel good in the city and to be able to count on the job opportunities offered in Debrecen in the long term. He added that companies coming to the city offer a chance for a successful career, for young people to stay in the city, and for those who previously had left the city to return.

The mayor said that there is a lot of competition for skilled workers in Debrecen, but the city and the Debrecen Vocational Training Center are helping ZF find workers.

The plant will mainly be used for storage and, to a small extent, for assembly consisting of only mechanical work processes. There will be no harmful emissions and the water and energy requirements are minimal.

‘As another important stage in the wave of automotive development marked by German premium car brands, CATL is establishing a plant for the storage and assembly of devices suitable for green energy storage in the facility in Debrecen rented from INPARK’s subsidiary,’ INPARK Szigma Ltd. announced.

The industrial-logistics hall, which will be completed in the Southern Economic Zone by September 2024, will use advanced industrial automation systems, thus guaranteeing even higher occupational safety.

Hungary will become one of the most important centres of the green transition in the world in the coming years. The green energy industry, which ensures the introduction of high technologies and continuous innovation, is the future of the Hungarian economy. Two important tasks of the industry are to ensure the production and storage of green energy.

The investments made in the wave of automotive development marked by German premium car brands fit into this process. CATL’s plant in Debrecen for the storage and assembly of devices suitable for green energy storage is also connected to these developments, which is being implemented in the Southern Industrial Park by INPARK’s subsidiary, INPARK Szigma Ltd. The company will lease the nearly 60,000 square metre facility, which will be completed by September 2024, to CATL on a long-term basis. The application for the environmental protection permit related to the project was submitted by the Hungarian company in mid-December.

‘As a result of the investment, an industrial-logistics facility designed to a high technical standard will be created. Advanced industrial automation systems will be used in the building, which will guarantee even higher safety at work,’ the managing director of INPARK Szigma Ltd., János Agócs-Kiss emphasises.

In the facility, units suitable for green energy storage will be assembled, and the tenant will store the raw materials necessary for the process, such as cells and cases.

In order to protect the local air, water and soil, INPARK Szigma Ltd., as the owner, will carry out regular inspections in the plant and cooperate with the authorities in enforcing the relevant legislation.

The post BMW Group: series production of Neue Klasse models begins in Debrecen and Munich appeared first on Debrecen4u.

‘A new era is dawning at the BMW Group’s factory in Munich: the Neue Klasse limousine will be produced here from 2026, and a year later the plant will switch to the production of purely electric powered models. From the end of 2027, the Munich facility will become the first representative of the BMW Group’s international production network to successfully transition to electric mobility,’ the company announced.

‘The Munich factory is an excellent example of our adaptability. We are investing 650 million euros in the facility, where from the end of 2027, only models with a pure electric drive will be produced,’ Milan Nedeljković, member of the Board of Directors of BMW AG responsible for production announced.

‘Last year, we started serial production of six different zero-emission models. At the same time, we also set a production record, proving that with our production network we are able to produce and shape the future at the same time,’ he added.

‘Munich is the beating heart of BMW. The Munich factory is innovative and highly adaptable. As in the 1960s, the Neue Klasse is once again laying the foundations on which our factory will reinvent itself. This comprehensive technological transition is carried out in parallel with the production of around 1,000 new cars completed daily, which is a well-established practice here in Munich and thanks to the outstanding performance of our employees. It gives us great pleasure to introduce the Munich factory into the purely electric future – with the Neue Klasse limousine at the forefront,’ Peter Weber, Director of the BMW Group’s Munich plant said.

At the end of 2027, the era of models equipped with internal combustion engines will end at the Munich factory.

The BMW Group’s factory in Munich is a prime example of a seamless technological transition that anticipates the era of electric mobility. In 2015, the facility successfully integrated the model versions of the BMW 3 Series with plug-in hybrid drivetrain technology into the production line of model versions equipped with an internal combustion engine, to which the BMW i4 joined in 2021, as the first model with a purely electric drive. Today, every second car rolls off the production line of the Munich plant with a purely electric drive.

In 2026, the Munich factory will initially start serial production of the Neue Klasse in parallel with the current models. More than a year later, from the end of 2027, the facility will become the first plant in the BMW Group’s international production network that, as a result of the technological transition carried out by that time, will carry out series production exclusively of models with pure electric drive. 75 years after the start of serial production of the BMW 501 model in 1952, the era of models equipped with internal combustion engines at the Munich factory is ending.

Series production of the Neue Klasse models will begin at the BMW Group’s factory in Debrecen and Munich, and the future models will then be produced in the Chinese city of Shenyang and the Mexican city of San Luis Potosí.

The long-term operation of the Munich factory is guaranteed by a comprehensive transformation

In the past more than 100 years, the BMW Group’s factory in Munich has gone through many changes and reinvented itself from time to time. The company’s success story is surrounded by milestones such as the technological transition between the production of aircraft engines and the production of car models, or the successful debut of the Neue Klasse in the 1960s.

The new technological transition is currently projected by several large constructions, paving the way for the arrival of the Neue Klasse in 2026. The investment of 650 million euros also includes four buildings, which house, among other things, a new assembly line supplemented with logistics areas, as well as a new bodywork building hall.

In order to be able to fully satisfy the space requirements of the technological transition on the limited floor space of the factory located in the heart of Munich, the resources manufacturing department was moved after about 70 years to Hams-Hall in Great Britain and the city of Steyr in Austria. In Munich, 1,200 employees were further trained in various production strategies or were given new jobs at other facilities in the production network.

As in the 1960s and during the changes that have taken place since then, the new technological transition of the BMW Group’s factory in Munich is also taking place in parallel with series production. Regardless of the construction work, around 1,000 new models see the light of day in Munich every day, including model variants of the BMW 3 Series and the BMW i4 on the same assembly line.

The comprehensive transformation of the BMW Group’s factory in Munich guarantees the long-term operation of the plant, as well as a significant investment in Bavaria as an industrial location.

Digitisation at the BMW Group factory in Munich along the principles of the BMW iFACTORY production strategy

The basic principles of the BMW iFACTORY production strategy guarantee absolute flexibility, exceptional efficiency and outstanding integration capabilities in all plants of the BMW Group’s international production network from the new factory being built in Debrecen to the facility in Munich, which has been operating for more than 100 years and is preparing full steam for the next technological transition.

The BMW iFACTORY production strategy is synonymous with absolute production expertise covering the entire production network. One of its important pillars is digitisation covering every detail, which, along a holistic approach, raises the interaction between specialists, production processes and intelligent systems to a new dimension, while optimising the phases of serial production and supporting the work of specialists. Its application covers three areas, data science, artificial intelligence and virtualisation.

In 2023, a free residential LED replacement program took place in Debrecen thanks to the cooperation of the city government and CYEB Energy Solutions Ltd. On the 16th of January, Mayor of Debrecen László Papp and István Meixner, the company’s director of key customer relations, reported on the continuation of the program.

László Papp said that they decided to continue the LED exchange program launched with great success in 2023. In 2023, in Debrecen, it was possible to register for the exchange program during January and February, and then on the 1st of  April, the handing over of energy-saving light bulbs to successful applicants began. More than 6,000 households registered for the free LED exchange program, which meant that a total of 77,000 LED bulbs were handed over to the public. With this, families can save more than HUF 250 million until the end of the life of the light bulbs. Analysing the environmental effects, the mayor said that 1,140 tons of carbon dioxide had been saved with this action.

László Papp announced that, due to the great interest, the LED exchange program would again be available to the residents of Debrecen thanks to the municipality of Debrecen and CYEB. Now, however, only those who did not apply for this opportunity in 2023 can register.

Regarding this year’s campaign, László Papp highlighted that registration would start on the 16th of January. Now they are counting on the participation of those families who missed out on the LED replacement campaign last year. The number of bulbs depends on the number of registrants.

Registration for the program is available until the 15th of February.

If someone does not have Internet service, an e-mail address, or has problems with the  registration, they can contact the customer service of DV Parking Ltd. (Malompark II. Füredi road 27. 1st floor). At the customer service during opening hours (from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) they provide assistance with the registration.

‘The municipality of Debrecen not only promotes the use of energy-saving light sources among the population, but also modernises public lighting in the city based on these principles. In Debrecen, about 25,000 lamps operate as part of the public lighting system. Of these, a total of 2,988 light fixtures have been replaced with energy-saving LED light sources as part of the work that began in 2023. The planning and implementation of the further stages of public lighting modernisation will continue soon. In 2024, the city plans to replace another 2,500-2,600 light fixtures,’ László Papp added.

István Meixner, Director of Key Customer Relations at CYEB Energy Solutions Ltd., primarily praised the organisation of last year’s campaign. This required an efficient solution to logistical tasks and the commitment of the population.

The director underlined that this program had been one of the most successful energy saving projects of recent years, as 700-800 settlements had already taken advantage of the LED replacement program.

Elaborating on the registration process, István Meixner said that it was significantly simpler this year, since after filling in the data, only the electricity bill needed to be uploaded to the interface, but all its pages were required.

Registrants can request bulbs for two types of sockets. LEDs corresponding to the old 100, 75, 60 and 40W power for the E 27 type (thick) socket, and LEDs corresponding to the old 60 and 40W power for the thinner E 14 socket. To achieve the same level of illumination, a LED requires up to 91 percent less energy than an incandescent bulb.

‘The company announced the “Green Champion” program, for which the basis is that those settlements that have registered in the program in a good proportion to the population will receive the “Green Champion” title, and the best performing settlement at the end of the program will be support a designated educational institution in the settlement with HUF 5 per distributed light bulb, ’ István Meixner said.

About the LED replacement program

In 2020, the Hungarian parliament adopted a law that imposes an obligation on companies dealing in energy trade, which can also manage a charity campaign which in proportion to the turnover, can also manage a charity campaign that shows a kind of social utility and is important for the population.

On the basis of this law, the municipality of Debrecen agreed with CYEB that in 2023 a LED exchange program would be launched in Debrecen as well, similar to the ones in many other settlements in the country, where this program was also very popular.

In addition to protecting the environment, the positive effect of the LED replacement program is that households can contribute to the reduction of the country’s electricity consumption and thus their own energy costs.

The use of LED light sources means a significant reduction in the electricity bill, and thanks to the life of the light sources of up to 10 years, their users produce much less waste than those who use  traditional bulbs.

An average Hungarian household has 20 light bulbs, the consumption of which accounts for nearly 1/3 of the total electricity costs.

How to join the program?

Anyone who has an electricity bill in their name can register in a few minutes by clicking on the “Application” menu item on the website at ledcsere.hu . After filling in some data and uploading all pages of the electricity bill, the system calculates how many free LED light sources the given household is entitled to based on the annual electricity consumption and the number and usage time of the light bulbs in the registrant’s home. It is important that the applicant selects Debrecen as the pick-up location on the last page of the registration.

Applications are reviewed by CYEB staff and may take a few working days.

Applicants will receive an email regarding the date of collection in the following  weeks after the registration. The registration becomes final when the applicant confirms his/her intention to apply for the program by the link in the application confirmation email.
