SUMMARY:Special Exhibition of Debrecen Carver\, Sándor Szabó Réti at DEMKI (Tímárház)
DESCRIPTION:  \nSeveral of Sándor Szabó Réti’s works can be seen  at the exhibition entitled ‘A Tale Woven from Light’. A special world built from wood\, colours and Hungarian folk culture will be revealed to those who visit the DEMKI House (Tímárház) between the 18th of January and the 10th of February\, 2024. \n‘The Day of Hungarian Culture will be on the 22nd of January and I was invited to this exhibition in connection with this. I collected my previous works\, which are wooden\, carved\, painted sets and altars  from various public institutions and private individuals. On the one hand\, the colours are the different reflections and refractions of light\, and on the other hand\, the world of motifs visible in the works is drawn from Hungarian folk tales and their lessons\, ’ he said. \nAmong other things\, the movable puppet wall of the puppet group Báb-Kincs-Tár from Létavértes and the scenery of the Aranyszalma Folk Dance Ensemble from Hajdúnánás will also be on display at the exhibition.
