Founded by author Emma Straub, Books Are Magic has two locations in Brooklyn, New York. They recently teamed up with Joya Studio to create two candles that embody two of the store's main values: cozying up with a book and connecting with your community.
Meant to encapsulate the "cozy ambience of a library," this candle features a multitude of scents depending on whether you're burning near the top, middle or at the bottom.
It mixes earthy notes like leather and suede with more lighthearted scents such as lavender and rosemary.
Books Are Magic x Joya Candle — Magic
This candle was designed to remind users of the "spirit and warmth of community," according to the brand. It features more citrusy notes, like Valencia orange, mandarin and honeysuckle, as well as muskier tones like amber and cedar.

Parnassus Books is an independent book store located in Nashville, founded by author Ann Patchett and Karen Hayes.
A picture book club is an easy and simple way for children to become interested in and engaged with reading. With options for three, six or 12-month subscriptions, each month they'll open the mail to reveal a first edition hardback picture book.
