From the beginning of the 1930s to the present day, black and white and color photos showcase the bath as it was, a guide to the history of the Water park on the staircases leading to the 14-meter-high sky terrace. The three winning applicants who submitted the pictures were able to receive a spa pass from Deputy Mayor Diána Széles today.
The water park in Nagyerde has been a popular destination for decades providing fond memories for everyone native to Debrecen. The new Aquaticum Debrecen spa complex was only opened a little over a week and a half ago.
It is a reminiscent exhibition with photos and video which trigger nostalgic memories in many. The material of the exhibition was selected by the staff of Modem from the photos submitted to them. This exhibition could not have taken place at a better place or time.
“Its location is also symbolic, symbolizing the new development that the Debrecen water park has now become, – said Tibor Holléry, director of the bathroom services division. The call for images resulted in 150 image submissions and the three winning applicants received a spa pass from Diana Wide in recognition.
The deputy mayor emphasized that they want the people of Debrecen to feel that this water park is for them. Anyone who climbs the staircase and looks at the pictures will see how important the water park was to the people of Debrecen.
