Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, participated in the foundation event of the new logistics center of BHS Trans Kft. in Debrecen today. According to the minister, international companies are important but the soul of the Hungarian economy is given by Hungarian-owned companies.
Hell’s strategic partner, BHS Trans Kft., will build logistics centers in four settlements of the country and a total investment of HUF 7.6 billion. The investment will create 165 new jobs. The government will support the investments with a non-refundable subsidy of HUF 3.4 billion.
The logistics center established in Debrecen will have a total of 22,000 square meters of halls and 2,000 square meters of office buildings.
The minister drew attention to the fact that the Hungarian government supports job creation and investment in contrast to the aid-based economy. He also pointed out that the government has recently accepted the Debrecen 2030 concept that will bring serious developments in infrastructure, education, and culture into Debrecen and the Eastern Hungarian region.
The minister emphasized that the goal now is to make Hungarian companies stronger than they were before COVID-19.
