The municipality of Hajdúböszörmény concluded a cooperation agreement with EDC Debrecen Urban and Economic Development Center.
The town of Hajdúböszörmény has two major industrial zones on the outskirts of the city, which have acquired the title of industrial park. The city currently develops the infrastructure of the M35 Industrial Park from almost 700 million HUF.
EDC Debrecen Urban and Economic Development Center that is currently supporting the FDI activities of Debrecen will assist Hajdúböszörmény to find investors for its eight hectares.
“I hope that Hajdúböszörmény city could play an even greater role as a strong city in the life of a strong region (county Hajdú-Bihar), or even at a national level”, said Attila Kiss, the Mayor of Hajdúböszörmény.
László Papp, Mayor of Debrecen, is honoured that the city led by him is part of this agreement and welcomed the conscious urban development that Böszörmény is doing.
Hajdúböszörmény won 667 million HUF for the development of more than eight hectares of the M35 Industrial Park two years ago, and it will be spent on building the basic infrastructure of the industrial park: the development of public utilities and puts the system into the urban network.
The modernization of the Újvárosi street leading to the industrial park is also part of the development. Thus, the investment will be useful not only for the companies that settle there, but also for those living in the city.
They are planning to extend and renovate the pavement, the construction of drainage and the completion of necessary public utilities. The people living in the area will thus be able to travel more safely than ever before.
EDC Debrecen Urban and Economic Development Center will assist the municipality of Hajdúböszörmény in developing the eight-hectare area of the M35 Industrial Park and negotiating with future investors.
According to the hopes of the contracting parties, the industrial park of Hajdúböszörmény will be a successful investment site for companies interested in the region.
