Coronavirus: The Mayor of Debrecen Announces Management Strategy

On Wednesday, the government ordered an extraordinary legal order and emergency for the whole country because of the coronavirus. Four countries – Italy, China, South Korea, and Iran – are subject to a ban on entry for non-Hungarian nationals.

Across the country, including in Debrecen, the kindergartens and nurseries will continue the education, while universities can only continue their operations via distance learning.

Mayor László Papp pointed out that the purpose of urban measures is to prevent the spread of the epidemic. In Debrecen, the operation of urban public services, health care, security, and commercial services is unhindered, and there is as yet no need to change this.
