Lufthansa plans to operate four flights a week between Debrecen and Munich. The flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Lufthansa has been operating flights between Munich and Debrecen since 11 April 2016, initially with three flights a week, which were increased to five flights a week in the summer of 2018. Further expansion was planned due to the high aircraft utilization and the increasing number of German investors in Debrecen, but the coronavirus epidemic intervened, and the flight was canceled.
Wizz Air has also recently restarted a growing number of flights from Debrecen. Those interested can fly to London, Eindhoven, Brussels, and Moscow from Debrecen with Wizz Air. Flights to Paris and Tel Aviv are expected to resume in March 2022. There’s also a new destination; travelers can now fly from Debrecen to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
According to the summer timetable of Wizz Air, there are three new holiday flights from Debrecen to Majorca, Cyprus, and the island of Santorini in Greece. The airline’s current plans are to launch all three flights in June 2022, and they will operate until the end of October 2022.
In addition, it looks like the summer charter offer will be wider than ever before. Turkey will be added to the offerings of three tour operators this year. It has been decided that the island of Zakynthos in Greece will be on the list again and the flight to Hurghada in Egypt will return as well.
