Debrecen is a caring city, organizing a donation campaign with the support of volunteers from the member organizations of the Debrecen Charity Board and businesses to reduce the burden of starting schools on families in need.
Volunteers are collecting donations to disadvantaged families each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at collection points set up in Auchan and Forum, up until the 25th of August. Donate today!
On behalf of families in need, the organizers welcomed notebooks, pencils, erasers, ballpoint pens, rulers, protractors, compasses, school bags, pens and other school supplies as well as gymnastics and other sports equipment.
In 2018 500 families received a donation. The local government of Debrecen and the association added HUF 400,000 to the donations collected by volunteers and businesses in 2018.
