The Debrecen Zoo is offering primary school children a unique programme for the 36th edition of its zoo camp, which is now also available in English and German.
Guided by qualified zoo educators, campers can take part in experiential and zoo education sessions and get a behind-the-scenes look at the park.
They will learn about the behaviour, lifestyle and feeding habits of exotic animals from far-flung landscapes, as well as the daily zoo activities and the specialities of the botanical collection. The rich day-care programme, which runs from Monday to Friday and includes three meals a day, also includes team-building games, crafts, treasure hunts-, a bravery test and a chance to improve their knowledge of responsible animal husbandry.
As a special program element, they can take part in an excursion, and as a fitting end to the camp, the game machines of the amusement park will ensure their carefree entertainment.
In keeping with the tradition of the past years, siblings can participate with a 10 percent discount, and registration can only be done on the zoo camp’s online registration interface.
