The joint exhibition of the Museum of the Hungarian Parliament and the Déri Museum entitled “Új világ hajnalán – Tisza István” (At the Dawn of the New World – István Tisza) presents one of the most important Hungarian statesmen of the 20th century,
Through original family photographs, personal objects, and furniture from the castle of Geszt, visitors can learn about István Tisza’s childhood. The idyllic family environment in which he grew up and from which he embarked on his political career.
The exhibition focuses on the former Prime Minister and Speaker of the House of Representatives and his politics, which are still controversial today.
The materials on display are supplemented by documents and objects relating to Debrecen.
The exhibition at the Csokonai Literary Laboratory can be entered from 10 a.m. until 5.30 p.m. on Sunday, the 25th of September, without prior registration.
