During an interview on Kossuth radio last week, PM Orban called attention to the European economic slowdown and the Brexit.
He pointed out that if the circumstances become worse, a second economic action plan could be launched sometime during next spring and a third in autumn 2020 in order to maintain the strong economic performance of Hungary.
The aim of Economy Protection Action Plan would be to keep the Hungarian economic growth 2 percentage points above the EU average.
The three important tasks of the Hungarian government in the next period are as follow:
- The implementation of the family protection action plan, possibly adding new elements.
- Maintain economic growth – the number of jobs and wage increases depends on it.
- Strengthen the Hungarian Village Program to support Hungarian villages, expanding their agricultural economy and to help rural people in need.
