General editorial rules
Our audiences trust us and they expect us to adhere to the highest editorial standards.
Our audiences have a right to receive creative material, information, and ideas without interference. Our audiences also expect us to balance our right to freedom of expression with our responsibilities to our audiences and to our contributors, subject to restrictions in the law.
We have sole discretion for determining the types of content that will be accepted and displayed on the site.
We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party contents and materials.
Material supplied by third parties, including news providers, needs to be treated with appropriate caution, taking account of the reputation of the source.
We will not accept and publish materials that, in our sole opinion, is not in good taste. We will not permit the placement of :-
- content for illegal or objectionable products or services, or
- content that is offensive to any individual or group of individuals based on age, color, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or handicap.
We will not be accepted and published if it promotes any of the following: alcohol, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, gambling, pornography, tobacco, or the simulation of news or an emergency.
We do not publish fake news.
We reserve the right to reject, cancel, or remove any third-party contents and materials from the site for any reason at any time. In this case, reasonable notice will be provided to 3rd party upon rejection, cancellation, or removal of any third-party contents and materials.
Additional requirements for partners who join the campaign “Discover Eastern Hungary after COVID-19”
In addition to the general editorial rules mentioned above, news of the partners participating in the “Discover Eastern Hungary after COVID-19” campaign will be published if it meets the following formal requirements:
- news length: maximum 300 words
- news language: English or Hungarian
