Méltóság Charity Run
April 25, 2019 @ 8:00 am – 9:00 am
The Méltóság charity run is organized for the 11th time with the aim to raise awareness of the attention and care necessary for incurable cancer patients and their family members. The movement started with a few hundred people a decade ago. Today, thousands of people take part in the charity run. This year, visually impaired, mentally disabled children and school children with learning difficulties will also take part.
The event will be opened by Eszter Vitályos, Minister of State for EU Developments at the Prime Minister’s Office and Miklós Lukács, President of the Hospice and Palliative Association.
“We are delighted to see that more than 50 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and colleagues from FAG Magyarország Ipari Kft and from Museum Déri will participate in the event. Our goal is to raise awareness of the importance of end-of-life human dignity and to help people recognize that they are not alone. Often, lack of information and isolation are the most difficult for patients and relatives”, she stressed.
The event is not a competition and there is no entry fee. It is organized to call attention to human dignity.
The festival starts with a joint 20-minutes warm-up at 10AM on 25th of April. The running will be at 2.30 PM around the Great Forest Stadium.
