Free residential LED replacement program launched

Thanks to the cooperation between the Municipality of Debrecen and CYEB Energiamegoldások Kft., those who have a Debrecen address card and are registered customers of an electricity supplier can apply for free LED light bulbs between 16th of January and 28th of February 2023

An average Hungarian household has 20 light bulbs, which account for almost one-third of the total electricity costs of the household. LED light sources can save a lot of money on electricity costs, and thanks to their lifetime of up to 10 years, they produce much less waste than those using conventional light bulbs.

With the calculator at https://ledcsere.hu/ those interested can calculate the annual savings of lighting your home with modern light bulbs in just a few clicks. Also, on the same site, anyone with a Debrecen address card and a registered customer of an electricity supplier can register in a few minutes by clicking on the Register menu item.

After filling in some data and uploading a document, the system calculates how many free LED light sources the household is entitled to based on the annual electricity consumption and the number and length of time the household has been using the bulbs in the home.

It is important for the applicant to indicate Debrecen as the place of delivery on the last page of the registration.

Applications are checked by CYEB staff, so this may take a few working days. Registrants will receive an email within a few weeks of registration.
