The series of gastro-educational roadshow events launched in 2019, organized by the Pannonian Academy of Gastronomy, on behalf of the Hungarian Tourism Agency, will continue.
The aim of the roadshow is to promote Hungarian gastronomy, ingredients, food, wines, and gastronomy; as well as to encourage tourism and gastronomy players to co-operate and jointly map opportunities of the different areas.
At the event, key players of Hungarian and regional gastronomy will share their knowledge through lectures, and a round table discussion. The program of each event is supplemented with a pantry showcasing regional flavors, food, and wine tasting with the involvement of prominent representatives of the profession.
This year’s first event will be held on July 21st at the Ikon restaurant in Debrecen, with the involvement of relevant participants from the Debrecen, Hajdúszoboszló, Hortobágy and Lake Tisza priority development areas.
Main topics of the event will include the role of local producers in the hotel industry, the development of regional authentic food supply, collaboration, and will include discussion on the effects of COVID 19.
Other planned locations of the 2020 gastro-education roadshow include Tokaj, Felső-Tisza and Nyírség, Balaton and Budapest.
