At Thursday’s Government Info, it was decided that the Hungarian Natural History Museum would not be moved to a temporary location.
On Wednesday, Balázs Fürjes, Minister of State for the development of Budapest and the metropolitan agglomeration, posted to Twitter that the Hungarian Natural History Museum will remain in the Ludovika building next to the renovated Orczy Park until a new, more spacious home is built for it.
Gergely Gulyás, Minister of Prime Minister’s Office, confirmed the existence of the government decision in question on Thursday but added that in the future “it is still the plan to move the Hungarian Natural History Museum to Debrecen”.
Until the conditions of the move are given, the museum must remain in its current location for visitors.
