International School of Debrecen Has a New Director

The International School of Debrecen appointed Ms Trina Arsenault, the current elementary school principal to the position of School Director effective from 1st December 2019.

According to the decision of the General Assembly of Debrecen, Ms. Trina Arsenault, the current elementary school principal, has been appointed the new director of the International School of Debrecen (ISD) effective from December 1st, 2019.

Trina Arsenault joined ISD as an elementary school principal before the opening and she has participated in the development of a professional education program since then and has been working as an international teacher and educator for 22 years. She has taught in Japan, the United States, Kuwait, Canada, and Switzerland.

As a senior member of the Board of International Schools, she has extensive experience in running international educational institutions.

The school’s professional program and IB accreditation are progressing as originally planned, and the new principal is fully committed to the school’s spirit, curriculum and continuation of work. Along with the steady increase in student numbers, consultation with prospective students and parents for the next school year has begun.

The Municipality of Debrecen will continue to provide all the help and support for the successful operation of the school and would like to thank the previous director, János Öreg, for his work over the past 3 years.
