As Debrecen.hu reported, Krones Hungary and the Faculty of Technology of the University of Debrecen have signed a cooperation agreement.
A Krones machine produces every second bottle used in Europe. In Debrecen, individual machines and production lines are designed, developed, and manufactured primarily for plants producing beverage and liquid food products. Quality training and the supply of skilled workers are key to successful operations.
Pascal Männche, Managing Director of Krones Hungary Kft., said that they will set up a department at the plant and students would have the opportunity to come to the company, where their engineers will provide them with specialized training.
Company specialists will teach students the so-called company-specific Krones course at the technical faculty from September 2022. The university sees it as important to provide the labor market with graduate engineers with the right skill set.
Piroska Gyöngyi Ailer, Vice-Rector for Technical Innovation and Training Development at the University of Debrecen, said they train engineers with the right theoretical knowledge, practical experience, and skills to work on valuable tasks and contribute to the success of the company.
Mayor of Debrecen László Papp stressed that the economic development processes are very successful in the city. In 2021, the Financial Times ranked Debrecen among the top ten cities in the world for capital attraction. Debrecen is now in the spotlight, which is a challenge for companies operating here, he concluded.
