Krones is Gearing Up – Machinery Arriving.

In a recent interview with DTV, Krones Managing Director for Hungary, Pascal Männche, highlighted the challenges of launching a state of the art, high technology plant, indicating why Debrecen was the best location for the plant.

The new manufacturing plant will be the biggest of Krones globally, providing a wide range of products, including high technology components and products for its clients.

As with all high technology companies Krones faces the challenge of training employees in the use of advanced technology, previously unknown and where no education caters for the learning of it. These challenges are to be expected and an issue to overcome everywhere but despite this Krones is happy with the labor in Debrecen.

Debrecen, known for its International University and its highly educated population provide everything necessary for the establishment of high tech industries. It’s great reputation for the Sciences, Engineering and IT, provide the right pool of skilled labor for the needs of Krone. Despite this extensive training is being provided in Germany for many of the 100 or so already hired staff.


For us, work means finding out new technology, just in order to satisfy our newer and newer needs, as they order newer and newer products.

The new Krones facility will be operational by the end of 2019 at the latest. During the next 6 months the Krones HR team will be recruiting an additional 400 employees, mostly from Debrecen. Currently, they are looking for employees from the CNC field, CNC machine operators, CNC programmers. In addition, they are looking for mechanics, electronic mechanics, mechatronic applications for the assembly plant.
