The Krones Run aims to promote the Southern Industrial Park of Debrecen, which is also home to the company. The race routes will take runners through the industrial park, and the last stage of each distance will take them through the Krones plant.
Pascal Männche, Managing Director of Krones Hungary, said that they want to bring sport and a healthy lifestyle closer to their employees and the people living in the area and the city, as their slogan “We do more” says.
Krones Hungary’s partner in organizing the 28 May event is Balatonman, which also organizes the country’s most popular running events: the Ultrabalaton and the Ultra Tisza Lake races.
There will be a one-and-a-half-kilometer family race, a 3-kilometer start race, and five and 10-kilometer races.
The race will be plastic-free in the spirit of sustainability, so there will be no single-use plastic or paper cups at the refreshment points or in the race center.
