The Employment Pact Office (EPC) and Miskolc Holding Zrt. presented a vast range of available opportunities to graduates and young people at the HVG Job Fair in Budapest.

“Miskolc is your place!” – this is the slogan of the EPC, the recruitment agency. The slogan is very apt.

Over the past few years, Miskolc has become a place of opportunity, – not only in terms of career but also in the areas of housing, education, transport, culture, tourism, and social care.

Miskolc is the administrative, economic, scientific, educational, and cultural center of Hungary’s North Eastern region and is a popular target location for industrial, commercial, and tourism investments.

The Employment Pact, which is part of Miskolc Holding Zrt., made significant efforts to provide the youth of Miskolc with the most attractive career opportunities, while it also tries to identify the permanent workforce needs of companies in Miskolc and assist them to find the right skilled labor.

Since 2010, the city administration of Miskolc has attracted businesses to the city with complex urban development programs and the creation of an attractive metropolitan solution.

“The plan is to find secure jobs for 2,000 people in Miskolc over the next 5 years,” said Domokos Szélyes, Mayor Commissioner responsible for Economic Development and Real Estate Management.

Miskolc will be a real “Industry 4.0” city within 10 years, a city of the future and a center for industry, tourism, research and development, and education.

Quality education is a strategic goal of the city, and it is no coincidence that the relationship between the city and the University of Miskolc is becoming ever closer. A new science park will also be open in Miskolc, further strengthening its position as a regional innovation center.

The university has also been recognised internationally, and in 2019 the Geneva-based European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) has entered into a long-term cooperation agreement with the institution.
