The opening ceremony was held in the former B24 Gallery and was attended by the Belgian Ambassador and the representative of Flanders in Hungary, as well as Deputy Mayor of Debrecen István Puskás.

The Netherlands – Flemish Center now hosts a joint exhibition of two Brussels-based artists, a photographer, and a graphic designer. Eclectic photographic graphics were exhibited as part of the “Brussels Capital” project.

At the opening ceremony, István Puskás stressed the importance of cultural diplomacy and community organization. The deputy mayor said that after the American Corner, the French Institute, the German Cultural Forum, and the Chinese Confucius Institute, Debrecen’s cultural life is now enriched by a new art center. More and more people think it is important to show themselves through cultural diplomacy in Debrecen.

Debrecen’s external relations in the fields of economy, education, and culture are continuously increasing, he stressed.
