Several organizations sew mask to fight coronavirus

MODEM has launched the “Sew the Mask” movement, embracing the work of Marczin Roland. More and more people joined the campaign. You can find the custom patterns of the masks and some video tutorials on the webpage of MODEM.

On April 2, the team of MODEM delivered another 1,500 masks to Kenézy Hospital, a smaller package to the Mikepércs Human Services Home and to the general practitioners of the surrounding settlements. Special thanks to the staff of the Debrecen Vocational Training Center, the Csokonai Theater and the Vojtina Puppet Theater and to all the individuals who help the program with tailoring or sewing. MODEM will continue the campaign entitled “Let sew facemasks together!”. You want to join MODEM, write them at maszkotvarrunk@gmail.com.

Employees and volunteers of the Reformed Great Church and the Open Door Social Center (Nyitott Ajtó Szociális Központ) also make masks primarily for those working in social welfare systems, health care facilities and for volunteers, but also for members of the church. More than 40 people have already joined the initiative but they are continuously looking for volunteers. They ask a donation of HUF 200 per mask. More information about the campaign can be found at www.nagytemplom.hu.
