The preparations for the construction of the BMW factory in Debrecen are progressing as planned and the local municipality is preparing the industrial area on the northwestern outskirts of the city.
At the end of the year, the necessary equipment will be set up in the area of the future plant.
The BMW Group’s career development team in Debrecen will launch a recruitment campaign in the coming weeks, which will be extended to the whole of Hajdú-Bihar County in 2020. Michele Melchiorre, Managing Director of BMW Manufacturing Hungary Ltd., called Debrecen the perfect choice.
“With this investment, the Hungarian economy will continue to grow,” said Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He also added that the Hungarian people deserve to see this development come to Hungary and emphasized that the Hungarian economy is world-class. Hungary produced over one hundred billion euros of export goods and services each year.
