14 mechanical engineer students completed their dual education studies at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Debrecen, receiving their diploma in January.
The ceremony “Our Students in Dual Education” was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering and the Student Council.
The Faculty of Engineering in the University of Debrecen started the dual education course in mechanical engineering in 2015. Currently, 69 students are taking part in the dual education program and now, 14 students have graduated.
“Few years ago, only a few people knew what dual training means. However, the time has proved that there is a reason for this training” – –said Mr. Elek Bartha, the Vice-Rector of the University. He explained that the training is good for everyone. The business relationships of the institution have strengthened, and thanks to the diverse internship opportunities, the value of the diploma has now increased. The chance of being employed after the graduation is much greater.
Five faculties of the University of Debrecen, provided students with a dual education and currently about 150 students are attending the courses. The number of corporate partners is around one hundred.
FAG Hungary supports practice oriented, dual education
The Faculty of Engineering was the first to support this practice-oriented course that has undergone continuous development over the years.
FAG Hungary Industrial Ltd. was the first partner of the dual education of the Faculty of Engineering. It is not a coincidence. Mr. Péter Szabó, CEO of FAG Hungary, graduated from the university.
FAG Hungary employs around 1,500 people, and among them several managers and other employees graduated from the University of Debrecen.
“We need well-trained young people and I believe that the program will prepare students for the future work” – said Mr.Péter Szabó.
