It was announced at the beginning of September that Halms Hungary Kft. will set up a production plant in the Southern Economic Zone, creating 300 new jobs. The investment, supported by the Hungarian state to the tune of HUF 1.5 billion, is worth EUR 43 million (more than HUF 17 billion).
Halms Hungary Kft. is a Hungarian company of Zhejiang Huashuo Technology in China, specializing in light metal casting and producing mainly aluminium alloy components for electric car batteries and electric control units. Its clients include Volvo, Mercedes, Jaguar, LG, and companies already present in Debrecen, such as Schaeffler, Vitesco Technologies, and Thyssenkrupp.
The plant will be located in the hall that is being developed by Huxa Kft., the project company of Xanga and Szinorg Group, and built by HUNÉP Zrt. since March 2022. It is located close to the five-lane roundabout of the 47 main roads. HUNÉP announced that the construction of the factory hall, with a useful floor area of 9,825 square meters, has reached its final phase.
Halms Hungary Kft. is already recruiting its staff in Debrecen.
