Travel with double-decker trains from Debrecen to Budapest

The Hungarian railway makes travelling with trains faster, more reliable and more convenient at the same time.

Thanks to the European Union’s Cohesion Fund investment of EUR 166 million (approximately EUR 53 billion), passengers will soon be able to travel on better trains to and from some of the Hungarian cities – said Corina Cretu, EU Commissioner for Regional Policy on Wednesday in Brussels.

The Commissioner said that the EU contribution would allow the purchase of 11 high-capacity, double-decker railway vehicles that would run on the Budapest-Székesfehérvár-Gyékényes, Budapest-Hatvan-Miskolc-Szerencs-Sátoraljaújhely and Budapest-Szolnok-Debrecen-Nyíregyháza-Záhony railway lines.

The investment makes travelling faster, more reliable and more convenient at the same time.
