Vitesco’s Debrecen plant employs 520 people and is mass-producing several products. They take 20 trainees a year, 80 percent of whom are based here.
We have no secret goal to support the closer interweaving of theoretical and business life, and of course, to consciously ensure our future generations in our constantly expanding factory,” said Réka Makray, HR Director of Vitesco Technologies Hungary Kft.
Vitesco has been a strategic partner of the University of Debrecen since 2019, and now they have announced this new cooperation.
The company has signed an agreement with the higher education institution on the establishment of a Department of Vehicle Mechatronics. The University of Debrecen considers it important to provide students with competitive theoretical and practical knowledge and the opportunity to carry out high-quality research.
All courses include, to some extent, the essential knowledge of electronics, i.e. electrical engineering. Nowadays, a mechanical engineer learns electrical engineering and electronics in the same way as an electrical engineer, but not at the same level, but it is an essential science,” said Géza Husi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
